Story about becoming a man. Unfortunately the photo is not clear. What we see is a boy who watches ships sale away. When he returns to the village, he is the one who has to provide food for the family.

During his career Frits made a lot of Beeldverhalen these image-stories have a comic like feel but without text and obvious storyline. These are drawn in a way that everyone has to create his or her own story. Frits starts by making the grid and starts filling them one by one. One picture leads to the other so they have some correlation but no obvious punchline.
By encouragement by Antwerp based artist Jesse Vermeeren, Frits made a couple of these stories as a painting. And he is planning to make more, especially when people show interest.
